A minimal interior runs the risk of feeling sterile if it lacks a rich, tactile narrative. To create spaces that feel both refined and deeply welcoming, we rely heavily on materials that invite touch. Texture acts as a silent language, conveying warmth, history, and sensory stability without overcrowding the eyes.

We select raw plaster, brushed timber panels, brushed limestone flooring, and coarse linen curtains. When these materials are combined, they produce a rich tactile harmony. Rather than feeling flat, a monochromatic room suddenly reveals incredible complexity as light catches the weave of a fabric or the hand-troweled texture of a wall.

Selecting Curated Finishes

We avoid high-gloss synthetic varnishes. Instead, we choose natural wax coatings, matte oil highlights, and brushed metal hardware that will wear gracefully. The goal is to design interiors that invite children, friends, and everyday living to leave gentle traces, enriching the space over time.

In our studio's custom kitchens, this manifest as a dialogue between rough-hewn granite counters and smooth oak wood panels. In living rooms, it translates into low-slung linen sectionals contrasting with hand-knotted wool rugs. By prioritizing texture, we craft quiet luxury that speaks through touch rather than loudness.
