CLIENTEarthen Paths Eco-Resort
LOCATIONWayanad, India
SCOPEArchitecture & Interior Design
DIMENSION / YEAR3,500 sq ft — 2022
01 /
The Challenge
Constructing a premium retreat structure deep inside a sensitive forest with zero vehicle access. The construction system had to be pre-fabricated and assembled by hand to avoid disturbing surrounding wildlife roots.
02 /
The Concept
A modular structural system drawn around lightweight plantation cedar trusses and steel footing pads. The pavilion sits entirely above ground level, allowing natural surface water channels and forest root grids to flow freely underneath the structural decks.
03 /
The Outcome
An open pavilion structure that sits in perfect alignment with tall bamboo stands. Retractable canvas canvas walls open the space to clean forest breeze, while deep overhanging canvas roofs block overhead glare. The space has become the central focus of the ecological wellness resort.
